Vehicle Description
1972 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Coupe This Ghia is an all original Survivor with the exception of a complete repaint in its factory Sierra Yellow paint (Color Code L11H) with Black seats and interior. The Engine Is an 1192cc Over-Head Valve 4-Stroke Air-Cooled Flat-4 with 34hp and a single Solex Carburetor. The Transmission is a 4-speed manual. This sleek & stylish VW can steal the show as these cars are not often seen on the road today. Only 12,430 Units were produced for the U.S. market in 1972. Mileage is Actual at 66,498. The reliability level in this VW is exceptional. It starts before you release the key and stays running once started. Not at all common on any car back in '72. The idle is perfect and there is a surprising amount of pep in that little engine. Every single feature on the car works like new! From headlights and horn to every gauge and more. Windows roll easily, gas gauge and speedometer, wipers & interior lighting plus. There is nothing needed here. Even the original VW AM-FM radio works perfectly! Air Conditioning is also included. A RARE option in any VW of this day. Undercoating was also added by the dealer at a cost of $30. Factory equipped with dual side mirrors and seatbelts that were not required at the time, were included in this Ghia. The car was purchased on 12/31/72 by Anne Palma of Valley Stream NY for $3398. She paid $2440 along with the trade-in of her 1969 Volkswagen at Volkswagen of the Five Towns of Inwood NY. Documentation includes the original owners manual along with its original Bill of Sale and Invoice. Call us at 516-586-6536 or email to MR@fioremotors.com with any questions at all.
